Our Story

Argan Almond Butter, known as “Amlou” is a delicious Moroccan dip that has been in Moroccan kitchens for centuries. Growing up in a traditional Moroccan family in Casablanca, Argania Butter's founder Nadia realized that there was a need for the delicious, mouth-watering Argan Nut butter spread that she grew up eating.

Argania Butter is a family owned business. Our Argan Nut butters are from a family recipe, handed down for over 75 years from the Atlas region of Morocco.

All of our creations are Gluten-Free, GMO-Free, Dairy-Free, and contain the super food Organic Argan Oil. This “liquid gold” makes our products rich in vitamin A and vitamin E. It is also packed with antioxidants, Omega-6 fatty acids, Omega-3 fatty acids, and linoleic acid.

Our Mission: Giving Back

Argania Butter strives to provide a win-win solution that helps protect the Argan tree biosphere reserve and supports your health and wellness. We care for the people we work with, the planet we live on, and the welfare of everyone involved.

Empowering Women

Our Argan oil is imported from our producers and partners in Morocco who employ and empower about 500 women from 6 different female-run cooperatives and family farmers in Morocco. Fair-trade and sustainable development are the foundation of these cooperatives initiatives.

Through fair-trade the women are guaranteed a competitive salary. This fundamental income propels the social status of the women and the cooperatives allow them to escape the isolation they otherwise face.

By supporting Argania Butter, you have a direct impact on the women in Morocco.
